Hi everybody, my name is China, i hope you enjoy this beatiful space that my mom had created for me and for all the Peruvian Hairless dog lovers. Greetings from Spain!! Breed introductionThe origins of the very ancient breed are hotly debated. The Peruvian Hairless dog may have been brought to Peru by Chinese inmigrants from Asia to the Americas via the Bering Strait. Other believe he comes from Africa. Nevertheless, there is irrefutable evidence- including representations on the dog on pottery- that the breed has inhabited Peru for many centuries and existed even before the Inkas. The peruvian hairless dogs was once the favorite pet of Inka royalty. He is now rare in his native country. The breed comes in three sizes with fairly similar body structure.
 Lively, alert and fast, this calm, intelligent, affectionate dog is a good pet. He is distrusting of strangers and therefore makes a good watchdog.This dogs don't like to be alone, but when trained, can do well. Is an indoor dog, he cannot tolerate bright sunlight and cold temperatures. His skin must be rubbed with a moisturizer. The lack of hair leads to a reputation for being easy to wash with a sponge. The ears needs special attention. The rims of the ears can dry out and chap easily.The peruvian hairless dog is both odorless and flealess. Its soft, warm skin is considered "therapeutic".
According to the FCI breed standard, the most important aspect of its appearance is its hairlessnes. The dog may have short hair on top of its head, on its feet, and on the tip of its tail. In Peru, breeders tend to prefer completely hairless dogs. The full-coated variety is not recognize as a valid breed variation for show dogs.The color of the skin can be chocolate-brown, elephant-grey, cooper or mottled. Albinism is not allowed. The eyed color is linked to the skin color. It's always brown, but dogs with colors can have clearer eyes than darker-skinned dogs.
The genes that cause hairlessnes also result in the breed often having fewer teeth than other breeds, mostly lacking molars and premolars.
Letting the dog "hug" you is supossed to help with stomach pain,asthma, and other disorders, according to Peruvian folklore.  Breve descripciòn de la razaEl perro sin pelo del Perù
Han pasado mas de 4000 mil años desde que el perro sin pelo del Perù vive entre nosotros. Conocido como viringo es la raza peruana registrada en la Federaciòn Cinològica Internacional con el numero 310.
Algunos afirman que su introducciòn al Perù proviene de la inmigraciòn china, sucedida poco tiempo despues que el presidente del Perù Don Ramòn Castilla Promulgara la ley de la exclavitud. En cambio otros afirman que son provenientes del continente africano, atravez de los nòmades que llegaron a Amèrica acompañados de sus perros sin pelo. Otra posibilidad de la presencia de este canido serìa debido a la inmigraciòn de humanos con sus perros desde Asia hasta Amèrica atravez del estrecho de Bering. Sin embargo al margen de todas estas suposiciones podemos afirmar, como las representaciones que aparecen en los ceramios de las distintas culturas pre-incas especialmente Mochica, Chancay, Chimù y Vicus (Sechura-Piura).
Perros Calientes?
Estos ejemplares cumplieron un rol importante dentro de las costumbres y mitos de los incas e incluso se les utilizò para fines medicinales.
Basta un leve contacto con ellos y pareciese que estuvièsemos tocando una bolsa de agua caliente, esta extraña caracteristica los a convertido en protagonistas de muchas historias, curaciones milagrosas y extraños poderes.
El doctor Pedro Weiss fundador de la Universidad Cayetano Heredia señala en sus investigaciones que el perro sin pelo del Perù es un animal que genèticamente tiene un sindrome de hipoplasia ectòdermica lo cual significa que posee piel càlida y sensible que al entrar en contacto con la piel humana la puede calentar.
El perro sin pelo del Perù se distingue principalmente por la carencia de pelaje aceptandose algunos ejemplares que tengan pelos en la cabeza, cola y en las patas, aunque lo optimo es la ausencia total de pelos. Otra de sus particularidades es que su dentadura casi siempre es incompleta, si hay algo que tiene muy desarrollado es su sentido auditivo. En lineas generales este ejemplar se constituye como un animal esbelto y elegante sin dejar de ser musculoso. Su aspecto denota velocidad, fuerza y armonìa. Podemos afirmar que el caràcter de estos desnudos es noble afectuoso con los de su casa, reservado y desconfiado con los extraños, ademas de permanecer siempre despiertos y atentos y ser muy buenos guardianes.
